The U.S. on Monday announced a new round of sanctions targeting Russian military supply chains, including a microelectronics company that the Treasury Department says is part of Moscow’s military research and development structure.
The company, Milandr, was among 28 entities and 14 individuals that Washington says are part of a transnational network that procures tech to support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Treasury also sanctioned family members of Russian oligarch Suleiman Kerimov and individuals who worked as financial facilitators in his network.
The Russian embassy in Washington called the new round of sanctions “blackmail.”
Meanwhile, Russia attacks Ukrainian cities and power structures with drones that it procured from Iran. Iran has been under strict U.S. sanctions for years over its nuclear ambitions.
