Maryanne Trump Barry, sister of the former President, has died at age 86, according to multiple reports Monday morning.
Maryanne Trump Barry was a retired federal judge and former federal prosecutor. She was first appointed to the Federal District Court in New Jersey by President Reagan, and later to the 3rd District Court of Appeals by President Clinton.
She retired from the bench in 2019.
Ms. Trump Barry was the eldest of five siblings. The former President’s younger brother, Robert S. Trump, died in 2020, and the President held a funeral for him at the White House. The former President’s first wife and the mother of his three eldest children, Ivana Trump, died last year.
Maryanne Trump Barry reportedly passed away at her home on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
While ABC News sources say emergency crews responded to a call of a person in cardiac arrest at Ms. Trump Barry’s residence, the cause of her remains unconfirmed.
A spokesperson for former President Trump did not respond to a New York Times’ request for comment.
