Trump co-defendant Sidney Powell pleaded guilty in Fulton County Superior Court on Thursday, on charges related to interference in Georgia’s 2020 election.

As part of a deal between Powell’s attorneys and Fulton County prosecutors, Powell agreed to serve six years’ probation, pay a $6,000 fine and pay another $2,700 in restitution to the state of Georgia. She was also ordered to write an apology letter to the citizens of the state of Georgia; Judge Scott McAfee noted in court that she has already written that letter. 

Further, Powell agreed to “truthfully testify at all hearings and proceedings and trials involving the co-defendants” and provide all documents relevant to case to the District Attorney’s office. 

Powell also agreed to have no communication with co-defendants, media or witnesses until the cases against all co-defendants have been completely closed.

Powell, along with former President Trump, is among 19 co-defendants who were indicted by a grand jury on racketeering and other charges related to attempts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election.

Along with racketeering, Powell was charged with six other counts in connection with the January 2021 election equipment breach at an office in rural Coffee County south of Atlanta.

She and another co-defendant and former Trump attorney, Kenneth Chesebro, had their cases severed from the other co-defendants, and both had been slated to go on trial October 23 after each requested a speedy trial.

Powell pleaded guilty roughly two weeks after Judge McAfee rejected her motion to dismiss her indictment on October 6.

Oh Thursday, McAfee signed off on the terms of the sentence that were agreed to by the defense and prosecution as part of Powell’s plea deal. 

Powell is now the second co-defendant to plead guilty in the case. Atlanta bail bondsman Scott Hall, whose charges also surrounded breaching the voting data and machinery in Coffee County, pleaded guilty on September 29.
