This news was confirmed when the Republican Party of Florida announced on Wednesday night that Barron would be among the 41 at-large delegates representing the state at the national convention. This event is significant as it is where the Republican Party will officially nominate its presidential candidate for the upcoming November general election. The chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, Evan Power, highlighted Barron’s new role in an official capacity.
Barron Trump’s selection is notable because, until now, he has largely remained out of the public and political spotlight, focusing instead on his education. He attends a private high school located near his family’s Mar-a-Lago estate in South Florida.

Donald Trump described this as a “really great day of victory” in a message to his supporters.
Eric Trump, Barron’s older brother, will also play a crucial role at the convention as the delegation chair. This position involves placing their father’s name in for nomination, underscoring the family’s deep involvement in the event. Additionally, Eric Trump’s wife is the new co-chair of the RNC.
The inclusion of Barron Trump as a delegate has been welcomed by the Republican Party of Florida. A campaign official expressed enthusiasm about Barron’s interest in the political process, stating, “We are fortunate to have a great group of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and members of the Trump family working together as part of the Florida delegation to the 2024 Republican National Convention,” as reported by Evan Power to The Associated Press.
